The CA result Sep 2025 informs the candidates about their subject-wise marks in CA Intermediate exam, rank, and qualifying status. Candidates who pass the CA Intermediate examination will be eligible for CA Final course. As per a new notification issued by the institute, the CA Inter will be held thrice a year in January, May, and September sessions.

Candidates can download the ICAI Inter result 2025 for the Sep session by visiting the official website of ICAI - icai.nic.in/caresult and clicking on the CA Intermediate result option. Follow the steps given below to access the result:
Login using ICAI registration number and roll number.

Enter the captcha code and hit the submit button.
CA Inter result 2025 will appear on your screen.
Candidates can check their marks and download the CA Intermediate result for the specific session.
Take a printout of the result of CA Intermediate 2025 for future reference.
Candidates can also register to receive their ICAI CA Inter result 2025 via email by submitting an online request. To obtain CA Intermediate result 2025 via SMS, candidates must type the message 'CAIPCNEW' with the six-digit CA Intermediate registration number and send it to 58888.
Candidates will find the following information on their CA Intermediate result:
Name and roll number of the candidate
Marks obtained in group 1 and group II exams.
Qualifying status of the candidate in Group I and Group II
A total combined score of Group I and Group II
Along with the result, ICAI will also released the CA Intermediate merit list. The names and ranks of the top 50 CA Intermediate exam rank holders are included on the Merit List. Candidates can check the merit list for CA Intermediate examination by following the steps mentioned below.

Click on the link for ‘CA Intermediate merit list’ and select ‘Intermediate examination’.
Enter the roll number/registration number of CA Intermediate exam and enter the captcha code.
Click on the submit button.
CA Intermediate Merit List 2025 will be displayed on the screen.
The ICAI examination cutoff criteria are aimed to guarantee that applicants have the knowledge required to become CA professionals. A cutoff limit is not only set for the entire group but also for individuals. The institution has set an exemption limit for individual papers. It means that a candidate qualifies for a paper if their score exceeds a certain threshold, even if they did not meet the group's cutoff score.

After clearing the CA Intermediate exam, candidates can enrol in the CA articleship practical training for 24 months. Candidates must pass both the groups of CA Inter and also complete the ICITSS under the new scheme to be eligible to register for CA Final. The candidates must complete the articleship of two years. Once the articleship is over, candidates must complete a study period of six months before appearing for CA Final exams. Candidates must first complete their CA Final registration before starting their study period. Candidates who could not pass the CA Inter Sep 2025 exams can start preparation for the next CA Inter Jan 2026 session.
Candidates are also issued rank certificates after the examination. The rank certificate indicates the rank secured by the candidate in the CA Intermediate examination. However, to receive rank certificates, the candidates must satisfy certain conditions. Given Below are the criteria -
Candidate should pass the examination in one sitting.
He/she should not have received any examination exemptions.
A minimum of 55 per cent in the aggregate is required.
The candidate must have obtained a rank of 50 or higher on an all-India basis. Rank certificates are granted only up to the 50th rank
The rank certificates will be received by the respective regional offices and distributed among the candidates.
Candidates who receive an aggregate of 70% in a single attempt on all CA Intermediate exams will get a statement of marks indicating that they passed the exam with distinction. These candidates will get their statement of marks via email a short while after the CA Intermediate 2025 result is announced. If the candidate does not receive the same within 4-5 weeks of the announcement of the CA results 2025, they may contact dms_examhelpline@icai.in.
Students who clear both groups of the CA Intermediate 2025 examination, either together or individually, will receive a pass certificate within 60 days of the result announcement. In case the students do not get the same within 8 weeks of the ICAI Intermediate result being announced, they can contact dms_examhelpline@icai.in.
If any candidate is dissatisfied with their CA Intermediate 2025 results, they can request verification of their marks in the answer sheets. The verification window for CA Inter Sep 2025 result will be notified by ICAI on its official website. The process of verification covers the following:
Candidates can make an application to verify their answer sheets either online or offline. The candidates will have to pay Rs. 100 for the verification of each paper. ICAI will open the online window for verification of CA Intermediate answer sheets.

Login with user ID and password.
Select the “verification of answer sheets” option.
Upload a scanned handwritten application for the verification of CA Intermediate answer books.
Select the papers that require verification.
Pay the application fees online.
Once the fees is paid, the candidates will get a notification for the same.
Candidates can also apply to obtain and inspect certified copies of their evaluated answer sheets. The certified copies inspection window for CA Inter Sep 2025 result will be notified in online mode. The candidate needs to pay the required fee as specified by the institute. To obtain the certified copies, the candidate needs to send a handwritten application duly signed so that their handwriting can be matched with the one on the answer sheet. Candidates need to apply online to obtain certified copies of their answer sheets.
